One-Skillet Broccoli Alfredo Pasta

 

One-Skillet Broccoli Alfredo Pasta

Yields: 4 Servings

Ingredients:

  • 12 ounces Penne pasta, uncooked
  • 6 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Sea salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Extra-virgin olive oil
  • 4 cups Water
  • 1 head Broccoli, trimmed and cut into bite-sized florets
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 3/4 cups Parmesan Cheese, grated plus more for serving

 

Preparation:

In a large skillet add water, pasta, garlic, sea salt, freshly ground black pepper, and olive oil. Bring the skillet to a boil over high heat. Cook, stirring constantly, about 6 minutes.

Add broccoli and unsalted butter and cook, stirring constantly for another 3 minutes.

Lower heat to low and mix thoroughly. Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese and cook, stirring occasionally, for another 3 minutes.  Season with more sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste.

Serve topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
